After graduating from the National College of Ireland in Software Systems in 2004, I took some time out to travel the world visiting South America, Asia and living in Australia for a year. After returning to Dublin, I worked in the tourism industry for 4 years. During this time I worked primarily on developing office systems and websites for tourism projects.
In 2010, I was keen to pursue a new challenge so I packed my bags and undertook a 2 year I.T volunteering placement with a local NGO in the south of Ethiopia. In 2012, I moved to the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, and have been freelancing and volunteering in I.T related projects, in Addis Ababa, since then.
Since starting freelancing, I have worked on a multitude of web projects for a range of clients from all over the world including; Ireland, the U.K, the U.S, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
For the majority of these clients, I have provided them with Web Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Development (PHP, HTML, CSS, LESS, JS, jQuery, WordPress, WooCommerce, Bootstrap, Responsive Layouts), eCommerce Solutions and Graphic Design solutions.
This project encompassed designing and building a WordPress membership site running behind a custom built WordPress theme.
The site uses a number of custom built templates and content types, each built to allow easy code updates by the user.
The new site is fully responsive for all mobile devices and utilises the latest Bootstrap framework.

New Irish company redefining the idea of golf club membership.
This brand new company wanted to build a website that would allow them to showcase their product as well as allow their members and golf clubs to manage their accounts via the membership sections of the website.
The members’ only sections contain extra information about competitions, results and events on offer. The golf clubs sections allow the clubs to see valid members as well as log their golf rounds at their individual courses.
The site administrators have access to a number of pages that allow them to see member activity across all the clubs.

New website for Ethiopian tour company.
This was a new website and rebranding project for an Ethiopian tour company. The logo and style of website was designed to reflect the clean, modern feel that the client wanted to project about their business. The site was designed in such a way as to allow the user to quickly find available tours and trips across Ethiopia.
On the backend, custom WordPress coding allows the client to add, edit and organise tours that they are offering in a very easy manner.
Work was also done to integrate the clients social media accounts into the new site to allow content to be posted across all platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Google plus.
The new site is fully responsive and looks great on all mobile devices.
